Temitope Onibaniyi

Temitope Onibaniyi is a business executive with deep expertise in Cards & Digital Payments, Merchant Acceptance, digital Strategy formulation and Projects execution. He joined FCMB in 2018 and later assumed the position of Head of Cards; – managing the bank’s Card portfolio with strong commercial orientation in issuing and acquiring business verticals. He is now the Group Head, Cards & Electronic Banking; saddled with the responsibility of driving digital payments growth and delivering exceptional revenue numbers.

Temitope started his Banking career in 2005 with the defunct Omega Bank and later joined Access Bank in 2006 where he served in different capacities. He was a member of the pioneer team that laid the foundation and framework of what has evolved into “Access Bank Digital Banking” today, and served in various areas of electronic banking, spanning ATM deployment/business, POS merchant services, Card Management and Mobile Banking.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Second-Class Upper Division) from the University of Ilorin and a Distinction in MBA with specialization in ‘Advanced AI & The Future of Automation’ from Nexford University, Washington DC, USA. He is a Certified Cards and Payments Professional(CCPP) from the Retail Banking Academy (RBA), London and a member of the Committee of e-Business Industry Heads (CeBIH) in Nigeria.
