Helen Nwelle

Helen Nwelle is the Group Head, Inclusion & Distribution at Hope Payment Service Bank.

With over 10 years’ experience in supporting female SMEs at Diamond Bank, Keystone Bank, FSDH Merchant Bank, before joining Hope PSB, she exhibits great passionate for the growth of small businesses with a clear and deep commitment to promoting women financial inclusion.

A Product Development Leader, she has over the years been involved in projects aimed at driving change and leading women to achieve their full potential in the SME Sector. She is a Mentor on the Cherie Blair Road to Growth Women Empowerment Program in partnership with Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan Atlantic University Lagos; a Consultant at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry SME Support Centre, and a Mentor on the Tony Elumelu Foundation Program.

Helen is also an accredited Business Development Service Provider (BDSP) with SMEDAN (SME Development Agency of Nigeria), empowered to provide technical assistance and support to female SMEs in Nigeria.

She has a BA in philosophy from Nigeria and two (2) Masters in Project Management and International Relations respectively from the UK.
